Course Maintenance

The Greens staff plan to hollow tine and top dress the greens from Monday 25th March, this work is expected to take 3 days and temporary greens will be in operation during this work period.

Fairway mats

The compulsory use of fairway mats ends on February 28th though after consultation with the Greens staff the optional use of mats from the fairway is encouraged until the end of March.

It has been apparent of a general decline in golf etiquette at Newbattle Golf Club in recent years.

Clubhouse Functions

We cater for member’s private functions from small family meals in our private dining room to larger celebrations for up to 100 in our function hall.

Winter Fairway Mats

Fairway mats will be in operation from December 1st until the end of February. Golfers have the option of moving their ball to the edge of the semi-rough and dropping. Play from the fairways is prohibited unless a mat is used. Mats are available for purchase in the Pro shop.  

Rules change in 2019

To help members understand the new rules the club are having a new rules night Wednesday 13th February.
